Latest Information Aug 13
The Village of Bolingbrook has been in constant communication with both Amita Bolingbrook Hospital and Edward Hospital, along with the Will County and Illinois Department of Public Health to monitor the possible spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Bolingbrook area. We are following the most current recommendations for treatment and preventing the potential spread of infection. Protective equipment and procedures are in place to provide emergency medical treatment and safe transport of individuals to the hospital.
On Tuesday, July 27th, the Illinois Department of Public Health aligned their language and recommendations with that of the CDC encouraging individuals to wear masks indoors in coronavirus hot spots. This includes even fully vaccinated people.
Currently, Bolingbrook is at 3.14% positivity, and Will and DuPage Counties as a whole have been categorized as "Substantial" in transmission levels.
In an effort to slow the spread and prevent our village and counties from moving into higher risk zones, the Village of Bolingbrook will follow both the IDPH and CDC guidelines as well as offer resources for vaccination efforts.
Here is what the village is doing:
- Those visiting Town Center for any reason will be required to wear a mask indoors regardless of vaccination status.
- We ask that all those in attendance at outdoor events be respectful of those around them and practice physical distancing.
- Through the Vax Up Bolingbrook Initiative, the village will be hosting "Pop-Up" Vaccination Clinics at village events. Visit www.bolingbrook.com/VaxUpBolingbrook for updated information.
- "At Home" vaccines are available to all residents and businesses with a Bolingbrook address. To request this service, please use the following link: Home Vaccination Request
